Project Description:

SPEC provided electrical engineering and design services for the design/build completion of a new natural gas liquefaction, storage, and handling facility. The work included extensive coordination and communication with the equipment supplier, other engineers and designers involved in the project, and construction team. The design included detailed overhead cable tray and underground distribution for power, control and instrumentation, site lighting and grounding systems and fiber optic communications. SPEC developed specifications for medium voltage VFD for a 5400HP nitrogen compressor, and low voltage switchgear and motor control for all auxiliaries. SPEC also designed standby power generation system for emergency operation of the plant along with plant security and fire monitoring systems, and provided construction and start-up support.
